At this residential project in Statesville, NC, landscape designer and contractor Cornerstone Site Works became the very first team to install Rosetta Hardscapes' brand-new precast concrete Traverse Flagstone patio pavers and slabs. Designed to have the appearance of natural, irregular flagstone, but with the efficiency of preset shapes and patterns, Traverse Flagstone installs faster than traditional flagstone.

Beyond the challenge of working with a new product, the team was also tasked with blending multiple Rosetta precast solutions across the project, including creating curved cuts and handling unique transitions. THE SOLUTION:

Building a Unified Outdoor Space with Traverse Flagstone and Rosetta Favorites

Thanks to a smart design and a little teamwork, Declan Hopkins and his crew mastered Traverse Flagstone’s intuitive letter-and-number system for installation. Once they got the hang of it, laying the slabs became quick and efficient - each crew member easily clicked pieces into place and moved fast across the large patio area. The completed outdoor living space features:

• Rustic retaining wall beauty with 4,420 sq ft (410 sq m) of Rosetta Outcropping retaining wall blocks
• Winding natural-stone like walkways crafted with 3,500 sq ft (325 sq m) of the new Traverse Flagstone patio and walkway paver and slab system
• Seamless design using Rosetta Irregular Steps as natural-looking wall caps
• Coordinated step aesthetics with Rosetta’s 6 ft (1.8 m) Dimensional Steps, adding depth and flow
